JUNKANOO VIBES

Welcome to Port Canaveral’s newest restaurant – enjoy front row seats to the cruise ships on the spacious waterside daiquiri deck where you’ll sip frozen drinks and cheap beer and feast on heaping dishes of coconut shrimp, roasted jerk chicken and grilled Mahi.   JUNKANOO is open Monday thru Sunday to handle parties of 1 to 150 with the happiest of happy hours starting at 11:00 weekdays. We hope to see you soon!

We offer island inspired dishes from the diverse history of Caribbean cuisine. But don't be surprised if we sample some island fare from Hawaii to Nantucket.  Enjoy small plates of coconut shrimp, jerk-spiced wings, fresh guac or conch chowder, sandwich varieties ranging from a traditional Cuban to our Shrimp Bahn Mi.  Dive into heaping plates of Jerk Chicken, blackened Mahi and Ropa Vieja, a traditional Cuban dish of braised and shredded beef over rice and peas!  Whatever your spice, we have a dish for you.

Get your rum ration at “Junk” with our (soon to be) famous Mojitos, Hurricanes or frozen Daiquiris and Piña Colada’s – serving up all your favorite beverages at either of our two bars.  A great place to hang with friends and listen to live music next to the water. Junkanoo is the place to be in Port Canaveral.

What Is Junkanoo?

"Junkanoo" is a Bahamian street parade & celebration of color, music, dancing, and fun. It's when the streets come alive with the rhythmic sounds of cowbells, drums, brass horns and whistles, as a parade of brilliantly colored costumes dance by.  This annual celebration takes place during the early morning hours on Boxing Day (December 26th) and again on New Year’s morning. Historically, Junkanoo has been a spontaneous event driven to the beat of homemade instruments and costumes made from repurposed & everyday items.  You’ll notice our furniture, décor and artwork was designed with this same spirit in mind!

In the Bahamas, Junkanoo only occurs once a year.  But on our island, the fun never stops!!!  Welcome to JUNKANOO!
